Hi,

The Menu is here and is a sticky at the top of the main departure lounge forum.

I'm not sure what you find hard to believe about there only being one menu? The menu does alter slightly depending on the route, but it is pretty standard airline practice to have one menu in place at any one time.

Thanks,
Neil

Hello and welcome to the crazy world of V-Flyer, Jwatkiss. Neil's link is to the UK-USA menu. As he points out, it differs slightly depending on route (usually on the inbound, due to local suppliers I guess). And if you're planning on flying east, it will be a totally different menu.

On an other point, and correct me if I'm mistaken here, but hasn't the guinea fowl morphed into a chicken now? I'd rather it hadn't (much prefer guinea fowl) but I think it has...

OK I missed something, I see ahead of Tink's post about the menu "Extended into Autumn" - WTF is that all about (ooops :| for language Timothy), it's not a great menu in the first place and I am utterly bored with it.

Nothing has been confirmed, but the menu didn't change as expected on the 1st September and a few rumours have been circulating that the current menu has been extended whilst VS are working/trailing something new/different.

You are correct in your recollection. The Guniea Fowl has indeed morphed into chicken.

There is another thread where we have discussed possible reasons for the 'delay' in rotating the menu with reasons ranging from VS waiting to matching the new BA offering down to the (probably more likely) that VS failed to process the change.

And yes (to the OP) there is only ever one menu in operation at a time (well two if you count in and out-bound separately) though as others have said there are some local variations depending on the route flown.

Chat, chat chatting with the CC onboard last night, as I face yet another trip with the same old menu (at least the wines have been updated) ... it seems we have another month of this one with 'major' changes coming in November. Without giving anything away the crew said they were "excited" about it, seems more food will be served from a trolley or cart it that's the right word (though not confirmed) and some interesting things are in store.

Good. Be keen to see and try, just wish there was something else to eat now!

Are VS using this as a training film on the new service ?
