I am hoping to book a 10 day trip to Florida at the end of October flying LGW-MCO upper class both ways.
I resisted the urge to “grab a bargain” in the sale that ended 20th September as my 85 year old Mum has a hospital appointment 27/9 which could throw up some ongoing tests/treatment that would prevent me from going. This would make a bargin become an extravagant mistake as it would be non refundable!
I sat at midnight on the 20th and watched the fare go up by just over £1,000 for the 2 of us with a tear in my eye. To my surprise I have looked again today to find the fare back to sale price and another sale that ends the blinking day before the appointment is being advertised!!
Anyway! To finally get to the point – does anyone have a clues as to whether the 26th is the real final date or is there a chance it could extend yet again?
The other thing I thought was if I put the flight on hold on Monday in the hope I get the go ahead on Tuesday will I still be able to hang on to Mondays price?
Sorry to ramble on so long but any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
