Looks like VXLG could do with another trip in - Looks much worse now.

Looks like they might be carrying the work out at the moment... According to the status updates page G-VXLG is in MAN and not due to move again until 24/09.

I see that G-VAST is currently on her way to MAN as VS809, I assume to have the same 'fix' applied.

Quite an expensive mistake on someone's part! Hopefully now they appear to have resolved the issue they'll speed things up and get the rest of the fleet done!

Have any of the A346 had the new livery added to then yet? I have only seen two A343 African Queen and Madien Tokyo, sporting the new livery!

Does anyone know what happening? :D

If someone has posted thisbefore, apologies, if not, see Mustang Sally being painted in new livery.

It has been posted before, but it was good to watch it again.

I cried at that sad part, 53 seconds in, when you see them sandblasting the winglets and taking off the union jacks :(

You won't find much disagreement here about that, if Virgin America can find room for the Stars and Stripes, if VA can integrate the Australian flag in its livery, I think it's shameful that VS cannot. Silly perhaps, but those little winglets shared a little sense of pride.

Guys this thread has mainly been about individual ac and their movements. If you want to have a general discussion about the vs livery could I suggest these get split out?

Looks the same to me...

Didn't think VAST had a problem with the paint. At least not in the same league as VXLG anyway.

I imagine they have changed something in the repaint process since the problems with VXLG. As VAST was done before that they probably wanted to fix it incase it started peeling.

Let's hope it's all sorted now and we start to see some 346's going in!

Looks like VTOP may have finally gone into the paint shop - Flew to MAN on a positioning flight on 31/10 and hasn't moved since.

Interesting as I've had an e-mail re the new service - in the t&c's it states the vtop is retiring in 2013 and will have no refit. However 2 x a340-300 have been painted and they must be going soon with a330/787 arriving. Is there a rule about how often a plane should be painted?
