Its OK - nothing like the clubhouses, but better than some of the others such as Nairobi. Clean with self service drinks and food. I went a few years ago, so I can't remember the whole layout but it was better than I thought it might be.

Did you get the VIP treatment going through checking? I have read a lot on TripAdvisor about skipping queues?

I went to Cuba last year and flew UC, so had the use of the lounge in Hanvana airport. As Virginlondon has said it's nothing like the Clubhouse, but it is comfortable and clean and offers drinks and snacks. Overall a nice place to wait for your flight, but not the refinement of a Virgin Clubhouse.

There is a VIP line you go through, but it wasn't quick. I seem to remember alot of people pushing in claiming there flight to Mexico was about to depart - on checking it wasn't. You also need to pay a tax, which we weren't aware of.

Loung is ok - self-service soft drinks, beer and wine. They have a served bar with four different rums (well it is Cuba!) and some other spirits. There is some self-service food (mainly nibbles). Can't remember if there is WiFi but there are a couple of computers and also a couple of toilets. Was quite busy as it is the only lounge there.

In terms of security / check in there is obviously there the Upper Class check-in (only 14 passengers and Gold so not too kong there. The departure tax has to be paid in local currency - there was a queue at the one near the VS check-in but there is another one a short walk away.

Overall everything was pretty quick there, unlike everywhere else in Cuba!
