British Caledonian LGW-DXB-HKG and TWA for all transatlantic flights, TWA used to have the best loyalty programme, I lost count of the free flights and upgrades I got over the years

I'd agree - TWA were amazing - the first airline I ever flew Transatlantic with (upgrades naturally)

I remember their loyalty programme was incredible. At one point they had a sale, and sold Business seats at half price - bringing them down to full economy price. With our Gold cards we easily upgraded to First, got the miles benefit for having travelled First, which qualified us for a free economy return

Perhaps that's why they went out of business!

And I remember eating Lobster a lot, as they used to have to keep some on every plane just in case their erstwhile owner, Howard Hughes turned up unannounced....
