Most likely a technical problem

VS71 from Glasgow today was cancelled because of a very light load, those who were booked to fly on VS71 from Glasgow have been booked onto the VS71 tomorrow,.

G-VKSS travelled from LGW to MCO this afternoon as VS71P on a positioning flight, because that departed LGW late an aircraft switch has occurred at MCO with the inbound VS75 from MAN (G-VSKY) taking up the VS72 flight back to GLA this evening.

G-VKSS will be operating the VS76 back to MAN as a result with a delay of 45mins.

Great info, Jon oo) Think if I were booked on the VS71 that got cancelled I would be a little miffed as I'm sure car hire, accommodation & theme park tickets would have been booked n( I guess, operationally, it is the only sensible thing to have done, though with a little bit of compensation to sweeten the pax y)

I agree not very good for those who were due to travel yesterday but I am sure a service recovery package will have been put in place - equally, not too sure why it couldn't fly from GLA to MCO as it did have to fly to MCO anyway so the VS72 could be formed to bring a fullish load back to GLA.....

Out of interest, how light is too light?

I was wondering that too.

Too light to re-book pax yet they sent another plane to operate what would have been the return journey.

The logic of the airline business really puzzles me sometimes.
