OLCI only got SEQ9.......
Mate got me to MAN in plenty of time to see the delights of T 3..NOT...not a great place to pass 90 minutes without spending dosh on the Serviceair Lounge...maybe that's not worth £18 anyway.
Blackberry scan of BP didn't work with the security dragons scanner
good job I printed a paper BP before I left home! That worked.
Flight called on time no delay ...got to gate 143, a short walk from the the departure lounge at MAN......the Blackberry barcode actually worked !
What a great welcome on board..showed my B Berry BP to the FSM who welcomed me on board by name and wish me a pleasant flight....settled into seat 2C...what a great guy, he made every one welcome and greeting the kids/ juniors with a laugh and made them feel really welcome with "when you get to row xxx your parents will have full authority who sits at the window" type stuff...they all laughed and giggled to their seats. What a brilliant FSM.
An absolutely smooth take off with a drinks/ snack run in what seemed like seconds after the seat belt signs were off.
Great smooth, landing into LHR T5 and 3rd off the plane..I could have sworn that we had flown on Concorde as the time in the air was only 39 minutes!....I know, I know Concord don't not fly no more but WOW,
Now, as a pre run for my BIG trip in November, I looked at the options of the connections from T5 to T3......found my way to HEX and jumped on just before the doors closed..phew!...Transfer time from plane to T3...20minutes ( hand baggage only though). I know others have done it quicker but, I this will do for me .
Enjoying a brill nosh at Strada Italian eatery in T3 before my next flight to La Coruna to meet my L'l sister off her cruise ship for a surprise birthday lunch.
(9 family members have been cruising Western Europe since last Thursday, but I couldn't make the whole trip so, me turning up unexpected this is aBIG surprise for her.
Shame I couldn't do the full cruise but hopefully, the surprise will be worth it...I even remembered to get her a birthday card....soooo not like me!
I'll try and do a trippy for the flight to La Coruna , on the lesser known airline called Vueling, soon....Tapas and Estrella permitting!
