I know the reasons WHY the content was incorporated into the main site, but does anyone else miss the "old" iflyvirginatlantic.com?

I remember that every month, it'd be completely different. New offers, new news, new look.

The "new" (ie: last 12 month's) style, with it incorporated into the main va.com means I have to hunt around to see if anything's changed. Flying hub/letters/offers, etc.

From month to month, it all looks the same - with small details either added or altered. Very confusing, and I'm not sure we've gained that much out of the change.

Does anyone else miss the "old way" of doing it, on a seperate site, or am I alone...? [V]

I used to really enjoy I-Fly but it just kinda disappeared. Didn't they announce a new Editor that was going to do great things ... but ended up never to be seen again ?

Good point, Paul.

It can't have a very big production team, because there isn't exactly a high volume of work being turned out.

Also, right up until mcuth had a letter printed, I was convinced that the sycophantic outpourings in the letters pages were all made up by website staff[:o)][:I][}:)]

Actually, yes, I do. I was just navigating the site the other day and thinking of how in the past at the beginning of the month there would be new letters, articles etc. These changes seem to be haphazard to say the least

I am another who misses it. It was such an easy friendly way of getting information and alway kept me in with the competitions (never won anything of course [:(]

It would be nice to see some kind of e-newletter from VS as I find it so much more useful than the monthly paper statement that I receive.

If you opt out of the online mailing preferences you should get it. I picked up a copy in Revivals on Sunday.

Thanks,

Agreed on the printed version, Richard - but I was referring more to the iflyvirginatlantic.com website itself.

All of the microsites such Iflyvirginatlantic.com had to be rolled under the main site umbrella, due to the Accessibility policies that had to be adhered to - and the cost of making them accessible to all was extremely high, so it was deciced that they all be combined in one site to reduce the cost of making them compliant.

The guys at AbilityNet that did the testing are based here where I work on my floor, and they were very enthused at teh commitment VS showed by making the changes.

Thanks,
RIchard

Yes, I miss the old website, but I miss the magazine too - even though FC say I'm registered to receive it (and have the correct settings on communication preferences), I haven't received it for ages [:(]

Cheers

Maybe I could put my copy of Autumn 2005 IFly on eBay? :) Bundle it up with the lastest issue of Carlos.

Thanks,
Richard
