Bazz is correct they are not accepting any new members per se this year for Centurion, that is via the 'acquisition' route of looking for prosepective new Centurion customers from the existing Charge Card base of customers (green/Gold/Platinum).
Of course you can always lookt os kip this route if you have open a private bank account with AmEx and deposit a significant amount of money ($500k is the touted figure), this route will also waive the annual fee of £650 too.
So it will be a case of having to wait until the next acquistion period, but note the numbers that acquired are usually small (around 100 members at a time). So the spend band will move depending on other card members spend, high spending accounts are constantly reviewed and flagged for possible Centurion invites during the next period. You can always phone up and register your interest in the card, and they will note it down and potentially do a quick review to seeif you are likely to meet the normal criteria, so if you have had a charge card with them for a few years, have a perfect payment record of 12 months or longer and are demonstrating a healthy spend (figure varies, but £5k+/month and months hitting 5 figures will not hurt) then you will be in good stead.
Thanks,
Richard
