Having been inspired by this post on Jaunted, what travel new year resolutions are you making for 2012?

I personally would like to get a few less stamps in my passport that say "US Immigration" on them as I felt like I went to the US too much this year whereas there are so many other countries I could have visited instead! xx(

Good idea....

For me, it's to stop going back to the same places and book some new places!

(Most of bookings are done for 2012, but I will make bookings for 2013 next year so the plan is to visit completely "new" places!)

Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Alaska and Hawaii are high on my list!

Nice one!

Mine would be to visit at least one place I haven't been to and experience it to the max as much as possible.

To increase my travel plans this year (I rolled them back in 2011) and hopefully take advantage of my son's travel privileges once he becomes eligible for them ):

Great thread :) .
Ok - resoulution #
1. To travel somewhere I've never been (which will be accomplished when I land in Tokyo on New Years Day :D ).
2. To travel light....... :0 :0 (which in all probability won't be achieved.... LOL).
3.To travel in economy more often.

Three things, which may need more than 2012 to come to pass:

- Visit South America, Buenos Aires and internal Argentina, and Cartegena, Colombia high on the list
- Finally get the no. 1 on safari
- An emerging plan to fly on every airline and it's A380 ... have done EK and AF, will do SQ in January, plotting a LH to the US later in Spring, QF to Australia may be 2012, but Korean and China Southern are the tricky ones to plot at the moment ...

Take advantage of the numerous new route options that will open up with this new alliance......?

Failing that use our avios for first time on CW somewhere..

Japan, high on the repeat wants...

Patience ... KE is quite likely to head to LON and CZ will head somewhere near, if not to, the UK. Don't forget that this time next year there'll also be MH and TG.

Have 3 Low Cost trips in UC or CW

I have already booked to JNB in April in UC using FC Miles
So I need:

1 x UC/CW to MCO or somewhere warm in June using Avios
1 x UC to JNB in November using FC miles

I have all the required miles, just need availability.

Maybe a 75% chance of achieving my 2012 travel resolution.

My search continues for the perfect holiday capsule wardrobe that gives me everything I need for a two week holiday without any compromise - in one 20kg case!!!!

I must finally decide where we are going for a week in late April for a beach break (spent most of Christmas changing my mind) and then find some sensibly priced tickets to get us there.

We plan to jump off the party bus more often when we visit our wonderful friends in Australia next year so that we can see more of their amazing country.

With more time and/or money the list would be much longer! :P

My Travel New Year Resolutions would have to be:

Become Cabin Crew for VS to see more of the world.

After living in NY for a year last year working for VS at EWR. I want to see more of the world, and as I graduate uni in july, this year is the year to do it!

Hi All,

Just thought I'd give an update on my resolution!

I graduated university with a 2:1 in Air Transport and Logistics Management 2 weeks ago and last night Virgin contacted me and I was offered a role as a Passenger Service Agent at Heathrow! Which I of course accepted and I start in September.
I may not be cabin crew, but it is a job I loved doing in EWR with a company that I loved working for, so I couldn't be happier! I look forward to seeing you at LHR soon!

I think this is the first resolution I have ever completed! y)
