Seems like theres been a few VS planes stopping there in the last week or 2. Tinkerbelle (or Tinkerbell as she's now known) made a trip there on the 24th.

As to the reason, could be anything from medical diversion to offloading a passenger thats got a bit too merry onboard - as it was new years after all.

If it was a mechanical id imagine it would of taken a bit longer to sort out, as i saw on flightradar24 VTOP was approaching LGW about an hour ago.

As for why these never come up on AvHerald...

I think Simon uses a few sources for reprting incidents etc on there and it depends on the airline's own reporting policy as to whether differing levels of incident are put in the public domain.

Air Canada, for example, are totally open - which is why you'll see many more articles on there about AC.

Only serious incidents appear to make it onto AvHerald from VS which simply replicates their public reporting policy.

(Note - VS will stay have full and transparent reporting to the CAA etc, I think it's just reflective of what is put in the public domain).
