The actual content of the IFE was very good. It was the heavy handedness of the people behind us navigating it that caused problems.

Fair enough!

I must admit, though, I would be tempted to mark it down quite heavily. The thought of having someone pounding the back of my seat on a night flight is not a good one.

Thank you for your trip report. After many years flying the 747 with virgin on this route, it was with some excitement that we boarded the new A330 in October 2011. The IFE was fantastic,no prodding (the person behind was a Kindle owner). However, the seats are really uncomfortable, in their upright position they appear to throw you forward requiring a semi recline for the whole flight. After flying out on the A330 (VS075) and being cramped (is it really 31" seat pitch)We paid extra for extra legroom seats for our return, they were better but not by much.

The problem is exacerbated by the size of the aircraft, it's smaller than the 747 and not conducive to moving around.
Crew as always excellent, food, never refused any yet.

Just booked for our return to Florida in May and taking the pm flight by 747
