Seat Locations currently unavailable

Hi all

I have just been adding some details on to my booking, and I have noticed that for some reason the seat locations are no longer available for my VS022 flight (IAD - LHR) on 1st July.

I have previously been on and allocated my seats, so not sure if I have now lost them.


Looking through the various reasons for the seat maps nor being available, none of them seem to apply, I was wondering if anybody had any other info as to the reason?

Don't forget once the 60% limit of available seats for pre-allocation is reached then the seat map is no longer available. It doesn't mean your seats are no longer there, just means you can view the seat map because there are no options for you to change to.

That may be the case, but I am not sure how likely that is, given that it's a predominantly business route, 6 months away.

I seem to remember getting a mail from Virgin the other day about the seat allocation facility not being available with dates from when and to when but I did not pay too much attention as I am not flying anywhere in the near future.
It may have only applied to Gatwick flights though.

Could it be that it's been switched to the new LHR A330? - the interiors aren't yet announced.

That might normally be the case but this summer is going to be far from normal when it comes to flights to/from the UK due to the Olympics etc

Checked again today, and all working again.
