Hi All,
I am now at Silver level in FC.In order to mintain Silver, I have to get 7 more TP's by 31st March 2012.

Due to fly PE in November and UC during early March(wayhey :) )I will exceed the TP's required by 9 before 31st March 2012.
Question is:
When I exceed the required TP's before the 31st March, do the extra TP's carry over to the next "earning" year..... Thanks

A related question.

Once you earn enough TPs to maintain Silver is the new date of expiry a year from the date you earned enough to maintain or is another year long silver membership given from the date of previous expiry. Ie. Once the OP get his 7 TPs to maintain Silver, does the silver then expire a year later or on 31st March 2013.

No - you are silver for one year from the date you became silver, if in the next year you earn enough TP's to maintain it (or become gold), then when you get to your renewal date (one year from you becoming silver), you will be silver for another year from that date.

Another similar question please.

By March 2012, I will need 8 tier points to retain Gold. My Flying club year runs from April to April and I will schedule a S class PE flight to achieve this.

If however I took another flight in March or April, would my year have re-started from the point I achieve 40 and the additional points count towards the new year or will these points be lost?

Many thanks

Why? The following quote from the VS website seems to contradict what you say:
As a Gold member, you need to earn 30 tier points in your 'fixed membership year' to renew your status. Your 'fixed membership year' is calculated from the date immediately following your upgrade to Gold to the end of the same month next year.

Losing the tier points reduces the desire to fly VS. Yes I still get miles (which I can earn elsewhere or buy), but to me, its the tier points that are so valuable.

I have just found our that I only require 30 tier points to renew so have already budgeted 2 over the required amount. Guess its an opportunity to spend the miles I have earned.

The operative word in the text you have quoted is "upgrade". It does not say "renewal". In other words, your year starts when you move from Silver to Gold. Once you are there your membership year remains fixed at 13 months and any tier points earned beyond the 40 tier points now required if your renewal year starts after this September are lost.

Hey everyone, I have a quick tier points question.

I've recently returned from SFO, booked in PE, I upgraded to UC both there and back using points.
Now, I (think) I know I won't receive any FC points but will I receive any tier points as I've had any added to my account thus far.

Thanks.

You will receive both FC miles and TP's for your PE revenue fare, unfortunately the VS IT system cannot understand this, so just give FC a quick call, give thm you booking ref, explain what you did and they will manually add to for you.

Quite probably, although you only have 6 months to claim any missing miles so you might be to late now.
