Left the lounge a bit early for the long walk to Gate 11A(from whence I had arrived)and was just in time for the boarding call. The B/f was first on and we were happy to be back in 14A and K. Crew were very pleasant and even though the Captain announced a 30 min delay due to a sick crew member(removed from the flight) they looked after us well. As before we wanted to have our meal at "our" time and this time we were simply told to give 30 mins notice of when we wanted to dine. How refreshing! Off we went to the bar and 3 hours into the flight we were spoilt rotten by J**** who put us up a "candlelight" dinner for 2 at the B/f's seat. Actually it was his reading light but so what? The cabbin lights were out and all the other pax were in their beds asleep. And this flight had Champagne, not the awful rubbish served on the flight out.Dinner over, we slept for the short time left. SFO to LHR only 9 hours this flight.
Avoided breakfast although the B/f complained he was woken when he didn't want to be as we had decided to eat in the Arrivals Lounge at LHR. Landing and baggage uneventful but happy to be able to still use IRIS, thought mere plebs like us were excluded from those who could pay?
Off to Arrivals Lounge. Not my first time but I was happy to be there. Perhaps not quite the product BA have at T5, but v close. The breakfast was good served by v attentive staff.
The crew on this flight were v good and perhaps the outbound crew were too wrapped in B/fs and family for Christmas

Generally, when in UC do they usually run out of (1) a drink such as Jack Daniels or (2) Lanson or (3) Vodka????????? This is now my 4/5 U/C trip where the crew tell me "We have run out" and no, I'm not being a boreing drunk at the bar. Honest!
Loved the trip, as did the B/f. Next to DBX. Lets see.
