im looking into exchanging my vmiles for Hilton HHonors points as booking a flight seems not agreeable with dates etc.
any experience with HH, are they more accommodating with dates?

thank you

I saved for ages to get enough points for hotel in Los Angeles only to realise that a new policy, a few years back, meant I lost all the points due to a 12month "non-activity" period. Totally my fault, should have read the letters sent to me but was gutted.

I'd say watch the small print before you trade VS miles.

I've never had difficulty using HHonors points. I don't think there's ever been a situation where if there's paid availability there hasn't been points availability also.

They've got much more sophisticated lately with points plus money offers.

Never had a problem with using HH points for rooms - although i have seen the points required have sometimes rocketed through the roof on busy weekends (so have avoided)

:? I know Waldorf rates change high / season, and reward + additional upgrades vary, but standard no blackout room reward rates shouldn't for any given property.

You can book upgraded rooms.

"Standard" room for Deansgate Hilton for a Sat night in March - 40k points

"King Executive" for the same hotel same night - 103k points
