Sadly my lovely special birthday treat was coming to an end...we arrived at Terminal 2 (eventually) after a couple of circumnavigations of the airport since the limo driver had never actually been to the new international departures before!
The VA staff there were fantastic...eyed up my DH's 6'8" and said..hmmm, would you prefer the exit row seats? Does a bear S*** in the woods?
We repaired to the only bar in the terminal (reminded me of Luton a/p 20 years ago!) and courtesey of the free wifi, posted a report on TripAdvisor via the iPad. One beer and one glass of white wine..$25?? WTH?
Never mind, it was all Bellagio's money!
We boarded on time. seats 75J&K? anyway it was the two seats on the right of the plane right by the exits.
Seated opposite the crew, we had a nice chat about Vegas, and flights in general. They were off to Barbados in 3 days time...lucky people!
Great flight, this time the seats worked, the food was fine (although it bore no resemblance at all to the menus handed out!). Entertainment again was on a loop, with impossible to use controls...I think I watched half of one film, then thankfully fell asleep.
Woke up to breakfast being served...now this was a revelation...no dry muffin and cold coffee, this time we got the "full English"..well sort of, juice, and tea or coffee.
When we landed in a snowy UK, the crew held back the econ passengers until us "posh bints" could disembark, so we were though Passport control in record time, or at least I was, but DH is still stuck in a year 2000 time warp and could not handle the passport scanning cubicle!
Landed and out to Car Valet within 40 mins...excellent!
