After my involuntary downgrades back in December x 3, and after signing under duress that I would accept a 75% refund on my 'select voucher' virgin are trying to palm me off with miles saying it's not cash, it's £250 towards a - surprise surprise - virgin flight. Funny that it doesn't state that on the voucher I signed. It clearly states 75% refund, credited back in euros, usd or local currency, paid via transfer or cheque.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sick of chasing this. I wish they could actually read what I signed rather than fob me off. I have a copy in front of me, they have the originals.

If you think it's as water tight as it sounds, take them to the small claims court. It usually gets resolved very quickly if that happens.

Either that or stick it on their Facebook page.

Read my post. I got downgraded from PE to economy on my own while my husband and 2 kids sat in PE. Signed the 75% of total fare refund. Virgin managed to calculate this to be less than what I had paid to upgrade to PE! After much hassle all they gave me back was what I had paid to upgrade plus £50 - total crap the worst customer service ever, I will not be going on holiday with them again or buying anything Virgin. All they want is your money, once they have it they don't give a stuff.
