Interesting departure slot from BOM....can't see that appealing to many passengers!

Good to see VS bringing a route back from the dead, but I'd much rather see 'new' routes, rather than a reinvention of an old destination.

Yeah - that's fantastic news!

Great stuff.

Early am departures are not uncommon from India!

Sounds like good news. Don't have an interest to go to India myself, yet, but it having the a333 is a bonus.
Also beware the copy and paste rule.

Great, might finally tempt me to pay a visit to my team out there! Although not sure how well it will stack up against the £1500 business fares thay my organisation seems to have negotiated with Jet

Good news for those of us who go to India.

This is a traditional Indian route pattern and will work well for the Indian market connecting at LHR to the US.

Most UC pax on DEL are Indian orginated these days!

I believe IT international has already come to a stop ... domestic next. Presumably the code share with 9W will now stop on the BOM route?

So with the second SFO rumoured to be soon a permanent thing, and BOM restarted with an A333, what's next?

Hopefully a return of VS25/26 (JFK east bound day flight), year-round Chicago service and a route to South America.

Ditto on the last one, VS has had the rights to fly to Brazil for a while now and I see passenger numbers between Brazil and the UK are growing fast, will VS miss out?

Still curious as to where they're getting these extra slots from.

when are the 787's due?

IF VS are going to fly to Rio then they better start soon or they will miss out on 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic business.

A very welcome return indeed.....having flown out of Mumbai many times at 2am/3am in the morning I can say it is busier then than during the day....most European carriers operate at these hours and the connection opportunties this time presents will also benefit other VS routes.
