The "Which Aircraft" Tool

How far in advance does this website get the aircraft that will be operating the flight? I know it can change, but wondered if the info is available the day before.

I head off to Orlando on VS75 soon, and at the moment am in seat 61 H&K the 2 seaters towards the back.

However the newer aircraft that do the route have no window here so don't want to be lumbered with that for 8 hours!!!!

Want to be able to move if it is the newer aircraft.

Check the status update page, as this is where the information is shown first, and as the data is from a live feed from Virgin, it is pretty quick and accurate.

I honestly don't know, you can usually work out the VS75 a/c, by seeing which a/c is operating the VS76 the night before, as this *usually* then goes back out to MCO.

Neil's advice is sage as always.

The best way to get advance notice of the specific aircraft operating a route inbound to the UK is to find out which aircraft flew the outbound leg - it's normally the same aircraft back home.

For outbound flights (ie, from the UK), we get notification on the status page anywhere between 8-3 hours before the flight is scheduled to depart. You'll see an update with the scheduled departure time and aircraft put onto the route. It can still change, of course, right up to the point of departure - but rarely does that happen unless there's a technical problem.
