BA2960 LGW-GLA 31 MAR 12 (DOMESTIC)

Short weekend trip for a family birthday. Arrived to a very busy LGW North Terminal - first weeken of the Easter holiday. Fast track security was a joke - really really slow! Departure lounge very busy indeed, so 'lucky' off to lounge. However as this was the Easter holidays it was again really busy. Lots of children off to St Kitts etc in Club World - the life! Pretty much no seats, trash everywhere and mess on the floors. Luckily after a few long-hauls were called it got a lot quieter for a while. The seat are looking a bit grubby in there now. The staff were doing their best but it felt like they were fighting a losing battle. Only thing for it - glass of champagne!!

Flight came as boarding so headed off to the domestic gates at North Terminal and guess what - plane had onl just arrived! Obviously they were trying to congregate us out of the terminal!

We left about 30 minutes late, no reason and no apology. Short taxi and headed off to Glasgow. Despite the recent good weather this wasa really cloudy day, so no views! Cre were friendly throughout the flight and service good.

Arrived 30 minutes late - no apology again! Unfortunately we then got stuck in awful traffic heading North.


Overall flight was good but travelling on a school holiday weekend.......avoid at all costs even if you have lounge access is my impression!!

Having had no choice for many years having to travel during school holidays, I am now retired and avoid travelling during school holidays like the plague.
