VS300 cancelled tonight

Plane (not sure which) had multiple lightning strikes on the way to London. Engineers can't fix in time. Not the best of evening as all passengers kept in the checkin area. Spent 3 hours waiting for it to go or be cancelled. Only cancelled 20 mins before due to go. Staff have been pretty good, but the check-in area is not exactly the best for holding passengers in.

Wow - I'm due on the 300 tomorrow...
Knowing how VS deal with cancellations, it won't *likely* affect tomorrow, but hmmmm... That's a bit worrying.
Have they given you any idea of when you might be due out?

They are doing 2 flights tomorrow. They think the cancelled one will go in the morning but they couldn't say for sure when I left. I decided to rebook on the scheduled 300 so with you on that one.

Its VRED. She was due to do the 651 yesterday, which was delayed overnight to lunchtime today and then worked by Dancing Queen, giving VRED a few more hours to be sorted, seems it wasnt enough... still better safe than sorry....

Thanks for the offer! I have access and will ensure I'm there in plenty of time to take advantage after seeing the far too much of the check-in area tonight.

Hi all

We were due to fly out on 300 last night too - but spent the night in the Park Inn Hotel.

The flight is now boarding at 10am and leaving at 11.15am - but not sure which aircraft we will be on now.

Oh well its all good fun and the staff have been good in my opinion and they did seem to try and get the flight out.

All the check in team were sat there last night waiting and they issued boarding cards just in case - so I think Virgin handled it well.

The 300 went this morning, worked by VFIT, who incidentally covered the 651 that RED was booked for Thursday night. RED is now shown as doing the 23 today, lets hope its third time lucky for her - and the pax

We were on Dancing Queen which left LHR at 11.40(ish) - the IFE was playing up on the way over but we made it into Delhi at 12.30am

Now just sat waiting for next flight at 7.05am on GoAir to Patna

When can I sleep?
