Hi All,

First v posting so go easy!
Two of us are flying back from LAX to LHR in July and booked PE for the flight out and back. I would like to try and upgrade to UC for the trip back. Have booked the flights via Trailfinders and just want to know If possible on the day of the flight to buy the upgrade at the desk or will i have to enquire with Trailfinders for the upgrade before hand etc and not familiar with the way it works, would be just nice If the price was right to upgrade to UC!

Your feedback and advice on the above would be appreciated.

Tks

Whilst I hate to bear bad news if you are thinking you might get it for a a couple of hundred quid prepare yourself for dissapointment.
I saw a sign at check in few weeks ago offering 'upgrade deals' although they did not look like much of a deal to me. PE to UC was something like $1000.
Don't despair - all is not lost.
Check the fare code of your ticket. If it is K then you need to pay up to an S fare. Your agent may be able to do this but you may just hit a brick wall with them. That is why it is better to book directly with the airline as they can mess about with this kind of thing.
If you have an S fare then you can use miles to get into UC (if there are seats available which varies day by day so keep checking).
If you do not have the 25k miles needed to upgrade 2 tickets then you can buy them for about GBP400

Whatever method you use you need to be thinking of spending at least GBP500+ to get into the pointy end.
