As far as I'm aware, anyone can search for patents, but worth pointing out many many patents never make it to a final product and even when they do, the final product has been modified.

You only have to look at Apple rumour websites. Someone is always posting patents filed by Apple but very few of them ever show an actual final finished product.

Or it's actually seeping out, heading for another flawed surprise release..
As previously predicted:

Well I do hope it changes, looks like you wouldn't be able to look out the window with that design as the suite in front doesn't curve away as it does currently.

But judging from Gregs reply, it must be quite accurate.

Yes I thought it was quite clever when I saw that.

Ahhh.. I thought of doing it that way! (Damn - I should really learn how to register patents. I'd be a millionaire. Well - probably not, but I can dream).

The problem with a staggered layout is going to be that you're going to have the back of someone's head right next to you... unless the dividers are taller.
Looks like the ottomans are having a bit sliced off them to make sure there's still an aisle to walk down. Wonder how they're going to fit the trolleys down for their new trolley meal service ):

I'm not convinced about this plan... can't help but feel it's going to feel crowded. Shame they're not going for the "inverted herringbone" as Cathay etc are...

I don't think that will be a big problem. On opposing sides (eg. 4D and 4G) you look to be the same distance as the next-door neighbour (eg 4G & 5G) and there is 70% of separation, so you would have to crank your head round quite far. The side screen as shown on the patent document in Mr T's post, is nearly to the top of the seat, so I think privacy levels will be much as they are now.

The ottoman looks fine as a footrest, but I'm not sure Mrs. M will be coming for dinner for 2 at my seat any more. It doesn't look big enough for even an average sized posterior

And I cannot get the Interactive flash tour to load up either, just get the landing page. !

Looks very nice indeed. One thought I have on the 4 across the cabin instead of 3 is that where ever you sit you will have to look at someone else's feet across the aisle. This was the reason we picked 9A and 10A. I feel alot of pictures posted there is always someone's feet across the aisle - I don't really want to look at some strangers bare feet for 11 hours lol. Perhaps that's just being uber picky though? But the new product does look very good. I like the opaque window, but a really good idea would be if you could slide this down/across meaning you can interact more with a travelling partner? I look forward to reading vflyer over the coming months and see what people think y)

Ah cheers Darren, just me being too keen I guess lol. Just need to try and work out why I can't view the interactive tour, maybe my mac's not up to it.

Now it's public we can see why they were quiet, nothing major!

Looking forward to the dimensions being published! Yes the seat itself might be wider, but there is less space width wise, especially at shoulder height in bed mode. No separate arm rest, it comes out the wall and juts out into the seat space...

IMO there was even less leg room between the seat and ottoman, so much harder to dine together.

Pick the right seat for a window too!

Though I am being quite negative, I look forward to seeing how it settles in and trying it out on a proper flight.
