Interesting article -
http://www.theage.com.au/business/costly-battle-for-corporate-flyers-20120504-1y44j.htmlI have seen another couple of articles over the past week or so alluding to the same point - price war.
Having been flying Dj weekly Melbourne - Sydney for the past 3 months, northbound in Y and southbound in J thanks to their half points upgrade promotion.
The DJ J product is very nice. A few little bedding in inconsistencies in the service but nothing major. It is usually cheaper than QF - but it doesn't seem to have the big take up yet. On more than a couple of occasions now there has only been a colleague and myself in the J - so six empty seats - on the 1830 Syd-Mel.
I didn't like DJ when they were a 'low cost' airline - but they have changed and IMHO for the better.
And it would appear QF are having their feathers ruffled.
