Transfer Companies from ORD to City Centre

Had a search on all forums and could not find the answer to this, so....

Please can anyone recommend a reliable private car/taxi/transfer company to get us from ORD to Chicago Cuty Centre and give an idea of prices?

I know that Slinky is there at the moment so if you have time to reply I would appreciate it

First time in the windy cinty and am looking forward to it...mind you I do turn 40 whilst I'm out there :w :w

I live in Chicago. Taxi to the city center/Mag Mile is about $50ish without traffic. You will highly likely be in heavy traffic so the fare will be much higher. I would strongly suggest taking the train. It will take you super close to your hotel. ORD is the first stop (origin) of the Blue Line to the city, so you will get a seat. Fare is $2.25.

Do get out of the Mag Mile and Loop. Chicago is about the neighborhoods.

For the ride from the City Center to ORD, check out Uber. It is a on-demand town car service. $75 flat fee with tip to ORD. Order on your iPhone. Excellent service.

I agree with Ben, we have only done Chicago a couple of times without a hire car and both times we used the L. y)

Not ideal with luggage, but a lot cheaper than a taxi.

I would save the money for a proper "celebration" of hitting the big 4"-0 in one of the many fine eateries in the Windy City 8D

When I saw this thread last night I was going to say, forget the car, take the blue line. But I chickened out! Glad to see that others agree.
