Hi gang-

I'm reporting from another thread in hopes someone can help shed some light for me. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but where are you seeing aircraft status updates so far in advance (like a week out)? The Status page in the toolbox only shows same day movement.

Thank you!

You are correct, in the main the status update page only shows same day info a few hours in advance.

However, occasionally, as the data comes direct from VS, if they know in advance what an a/c is going to do it appears on the status update page. So if you look now, the second to last listing is flight VS812 HKG-LGW G-VROM and while the flight date states the 16th, if you look at say the "Out (Pushback)" column it shows 22/02 12:30 (E), so we know they are planning on that a/c operating that flight on that date/time etc.

Having info so far in advance usually happens when the flight in question is a positioning flight, like the one above I mentioned, which is G-VROM coming back to the UK after its refits in HKG. We can also see that G-VAST is going to HKG on the 21st, obviously to start it's refits.

Advance data isn't provided for 'normal' flights because the a/c planned to use can and does change very often and also it is a security risk.
