I would guess he means charter flight for the RAF, transporting people to somewhere else - let's see where she heads next?

This I do know :) I was chatting to the crew coming back to sfo and it seems it's a flight to nbo !

Oh and there have been plenty of flights from LGW to LHR or vice versa at 26 miles. Stansted is 41 miles.

What about the distance between JFK and EWR that must be pretty short?

I recall an EWR flight landed recently at JFK as EWR was closed for an incident and the flight then left JFK and went to EWR when EWR reopened.

According to my Planefinder App, at some stage this morning she was heading towards my home town. Mind you, that's the same map that yesterday had the LHR-ORK flight over my house when the reality was that it had already landed in Cork some 30 miles east of here :w

Indeed - I was on that flight - VS001 on 27th Feb operated by G-VFIZ Bubbles.

I work at brize norton and had to load and do the trim for the A340 when it arrived which was fun definitly dont get to do that everyday, it was great to have free upper class seating tho :D
