My first trip report , so please be gentle with me.

Firstly being a VH customer more than a VA customer will hopefully help the more business like people on this site, see the benefits as I did with bagging a PE upgrade with VH for 4 people at a cost of 800 pounds y)
Being a PE customer the seat map opened about 4 hours before OLCI and we were assigned seats 72a,c,h,k in the bubble and very happy with these, plus the seat map said the flight was full.

When living in jersey , channel islands the first thing you do is fly out the day before,Why?
Because fog can and does float in undetected and can stay here for up to three days with nothing getting in or out, Holiday is now ruined.
So all booked with a low cost airline out of the island , famous for maybe! flying or doing what they do best and cancelling your half full flight and combining it with the next one.
Which they did to us, me the misses an un-impressed 16 year old son and stroppy 13 year old daughter.
Eventually the turbo prop engines started and flying over the French coast to gatwick.
Having been in the Air for 25 mins hello gatwick and hello to the gatwick Hilton hotel.
And much looking forward to a decent airline,
Twighlight checkin next stop and was greeted with a huge smile , was told all about the PE benefits and what to do in the morning as regards VIP security lane etc. bags gone everyone now smiling and back to the Hilton for a rather overpriced buffet diner.
Flight day here and we headed to the gate where we were one of the first with no ques so didn't get to try the dedicated lane for upper, and PE.
We were then called to board with upper class pax which me us feel more important. headed down to the tunnel and up the stairs to the bubble.
Perfect seats and loved the storage space on the window seats, accepted the champagne and hot towel and headed off to Barbados,
The flight time being 7 hours 40 mins we tucked into many dishes which were all fantastic, I asked for a beer from the air hostess and was given two, y) .
The site of the captain making 4 or 5 visits to the toilet was a bit strange tho?
Once landed I was looking forward to being one of the first off and into immigration.
However horror, as we came down the stairs the economy passengers were already in free flow down the stairs , I would say that at least 150 passengers were off before us.
Even some upper class passenger were off after me. Hmmm what happened here VA.
However mustn't grumble it was a great relaxin flight, and the old and tired PE seats did there job and being in the bubble it was so quiet and relaxing, although the IFE needs to go, the cabin crew as always were brilliant. And the captains wee problem didn't affect the flight.

Cheers Jason.

Thanks for the TR

Pilots can do many things but holding it in for 8 hrs isn't one of them or there could be an incident like the poster in this thread experienced !

Thanks for your inaugural TR y) y)

V-Flyer has helped countless folks over the years (me included :w ) on what to expect on board and it is good to learn from someone who is used to flying VS through VH - that is where many of us started off and I for one will not forget my roots. It is just that through V-Flyer i have learnt to closely compare fares and have on occasion used VH as it is much cheaper

Your trek to get to Gatwick in the first place makes me all the more grateful of being able to get there in under the hour :D

The bubble still has the magic for me - even if the seats are old ):
