I think Flabound means loss of the 'freedom' dining option rather than 'graze' - which is an addition to the UC service.

We are talking about an economy based product (yes, an enchanced economy one at that, but still more Y than J)

I don't agree with this. I think Virgin's PE product is definitely more J minus than Y plus, and has been perceived as such by customers.

Last week, W fare to Chicago, £2,630.

Now that's a whopper and more like a J class fare ... but with 10k upgrades it is .

This is a current menu, which includes cheese and crackers. I imagine the new menu will be updated 1 June.

The new Premium Economy refresh was launched today on the inaugural VS95 LHR-YVR. Rest of world will launch on 1st June.

If the 'new' PE menu is even slightly better than the inedible offering I had on a recent trip to MCO and back then bring it on!!

Interesting - I actually thought the food was really good this trip. Actually, I thought the main meal offering both ways was good, the sandwich outbound and breakfast inbound were terrible.

Obviously it depends on what you chose, but I was particularly impressed with the Beef on the flight home last night.

I find both outbound and inbound pretty, except for the pointless salad.

I guess it is far to early to expect any on board reviews, even the first flights out today won't have landed at their destination yet, so I would expect to hear things in the next few days..

Sorry, didn't mean to sound overly demanding I really meant any official news/press release etc - I would have expected VS to be promoting this like they did with the new Economy and Upper Class meal services.

It's more of an upgrade than a new meal service, so I wouldn't be expecting an official announcement.

Im travelling back PE from LAX on the 13th so I'll report back!

Interesting, so I presume the cupcake will replace the scone with jam and cream then? I'm quite happy with a scone or cupcake as it means there will be something nice as I don't fancy the cheese and onion sandwich that I have heard mentioned

I think that went a while ago. We had a "full English" in PE in April.

Be good to hear some feedback from anyone who has flown in PE this weekend. I am flying tomorrow to IAD so will report back afterwards
