Ok I have managed to get into the seatmap and have been allocated seat 73A.
Is this a good choice ?
There are seats on the rows further back 76 77 78 and 79
Are they better seats ?
I am flying on my own for the first time with Virgin and really want to enjoy this experience
many thanks !

Any seat in the bubble is good. May rate 79AC highly but you don't say what your route is (I'm presuming it's tomorrow) so we don't know if it's the old or new config

Oh No it wont let me change !!

The other seats show as available and the seat next to me 73c is also taken so why cant I change the seat to one further back ?

Reports on here suggest that although other seats are showing as available people are not able to change. It really is not good enough. Why show them as available otherwise? v(

Will I be able to change at check -in do you think ?

You can try :D Best of luck and even if you don't get to change, your seat isn't bad. Just enjoy your trip. It will be fine. I've been in your situation and know how vulnerable you can feel but just relax and everything will be OK
