Trip to NY next Month

Dear All,

I'm planning a trip to NY next month using MPM option. Is there any particular VS flight I should consider or they are all just as good as each other. I understand they all use the 744 fleet?
How many miles would be redeemed for PE out but Economy in?
Any recommendations for a reasonable hotel in Manhattan?

Using the search feature above, you would find this thread about New York hotels. There are so many hotels in Manhattan ... but, if you'd like a current response from some of our posters and members, try posting in the Hotels forum.

As for which VS flights are best, again, it's a matter of one's preferences. Take a look at the "Which Aircraft" feature and you'll see the types of aircraft normally flying the route (not every aircraft going to JFK is a B744 by the way).

VH seemed quite good for accom only, and you get 10% discount for being a FC member - you may have to email them to add this on though.

I've just booked a trip to NY too!

I chose the VS17 outbound, as I'm only 30 mins (dependant upon M25[:0]) from LHR, so I can easily jump onto that flight without having to take the day off of work.

As far as plane types are concerned, note that the VS17/VS18 are scheduled to be suite config'd A340-300's from November onwards (so no V:Port [:(])

As for the other flights, I think VS1/2 and VS3/4 are normally B747-400's with VS45/VS46 either an A340-600 or B747-400.
