Hi all

I am on the VS043 next friday, and have booked the No1 Traveller lounge.

I know they allow three hours in the lounge, but I have booked it from 08:25 to 11:25 - i.e. pushback time. Dur!

How far in advance is PE boarding usually called?

Does anyone know how strict No1 are about these times?

My wife is ultra organised, and we you always rather be early than late for something, so we are arriving at the airport at 07:00, to allow for security, so knowing our luck we will be through by 07:05, and waiting around!

Can't see it will be a problem but I would let them know in advance just in case they are at capacity earlier on.

From the No1Traveller website:

"We appreciate that your plans may change for any number of reasons, so if you need to make any alterations to your journey, just call us on 08442 64 64 40 and a member of our customer enquiries team will be able to assist you".

Their email is enquiries@No1Traveller [dotcom]

I wouldnt stress, they are very friendly there, just go in when you want and if anyone says anything make out you didnt realise ! they wont turn you away for 45 minuts or so.

travelling PE you will find a priority lane at the gate and then be mixed in once inside. Boarding goes UC and Gold club, then PE so if you want you can board early and get settled in. i would say 45 mins before departure would be about right.

I visited the lounge last year as groupon had an offer.
Wish i hadnt bothered.
A microwaved bacon roll and some cereals in tupperware box's you could help yourself to.
Even the drinks service was slow and it wasnt busy.
To get a drink i went to the empty bar, they (2 staff)took my order and said to sit back down.
Must have been 10-15 minutes before i finally got anthing.

Just glad ill be in the clubhouse this year.

I've had exactly the same in the Clubhouse with an even longer wait :(

... It turn out sometimes they are quite fussy.

Turned up at 07:55, was turned away and told to come back in half an hour.

Didn't even look that busy.

Oh well, never mind, I won't let something like that ruin my hols.

Now jet-lag on the other hand... ( it's 3 am here right now)

Have to say we where in the No1 lounge at LGW on 1st June the day ALL VS flights where delayed and because the lounge was full to capacity they where asking guest to laeve and also refusing entry to other guests. Guests with proirty pass when not been given access
But if its a normal day you should be fine.. but have to agree with others the service is slow even when busy and they do not like you going up to the bar for drinks,
Have to say we both prefer the serviceair lounge
