Hi

I'm travelling back from Cancun with my husband in August on VS094 747 config 1. The only seats left available in upper class are 9-12 A and 9-12 K. I have selected 9 and 10 K but as I have never flown first class before I was wondering if somebody could tell me if it's best to sit opposite each other or to keep the seats we've got where one is sat behind the other.

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you.

Best to keep the ones you have. 6 7 and 8 a and k are close enough to be opposite but from 9 onwards they are a bit far apart so best to be next to each other. Also 11 and 12 have the bar in between them so wouldn't be able to see each other if you wee in the a and k seats.

depends what you want to do !

If you want to be able to see each other then sit opposite each other (but bear in mind this is a fair distant apart so not ideal for a conversation) but if you just want to be next to each other then stay as you are.

I'd stay as you are. For all our UC flights to date we've done adjacent rather than opposite. Once you add body length into the equation, a conversation across the aisle is quite difficult, whereas in the adjacent seats you are head to head (albeit over a divider).

That said, I've nabbed 6A and K for our summer excursion...

slinks be nice v( - she's new here :) .
bobbi23, what my lovely fellow v- flyer (and he is ) slinky09 really really meant to say was that VS only has a business class cabin. Please don't worry though - it's not too bad :D ( and better in fact than many first class cabins ): ).

PS slinks, methinks you're spending too much time on FT picking up bad habits and turning into a grumpy old bloke lol :X :X.

Oh dear, I remember the honeymoon couple on a flight to MCO who were in 12 A and K. They were so obviously first time travellers in any class let alone UC and they couldn't even see each other because of the bar. The crew obviously sussed the situation and did their best to make sure it was a trip to remember. Pity it was the flight with a baby who screamed its way across the Atlantic in spite of mum and dad's best efforts

No, DL, it's the VS FB page where anyone who mentions first class gets jumped on like a ton of bricks.

And slinky a grumpy old bloke - never! :D
