Amex new card offers

I was a card holder for a few years but stopped using it when I got my Virgin double miles card.

It may now make sense to have an Amex card again. When I joined last time the first years fee was waved, I justed looked on their web site and I cannot see any offers like this at the moment.

Any pointers would be helpful.

Good question; thank you for posting. Not certain whether this would work for you but I know that Fidelity Investments has an offer going that gives you a fee-free Amex in return for you placing your investment business with them. Otherwise, you might just give Amex a call. They offer so many different affinity cards that perhaps there's a "freebie".
