Hi

Just had an email from ESTA

"ATTENTION! The travel authorization submitted on February 1, 2011 via ESTA will expire within the next 30 days"

I have checked our ESTA's and 2 do indeed have a submitted date of 01 Feb 2011, However they are both showing expiry of 01 Feb 2013. ?| :?

Anyone had anything like this?

did you perhaps apply for a few at the same time for your family and use your email address for all of them?

Is there one belonging to a passport that is about to expire? as the ESTA for that one expires when the passport expires rather than the normal 2 year period.

Earliest passport expiry is Oct 2013... but you've give me an idea...

This must be it. I renewed my wife's passport back in March. When the new one arrived I did a new ESTA for her. The old passport expiry was July 2012, so it is that ESTA expiring?

I am assuming that I have no worries as I have the new ESTA against the new passport.

yes looks like the July 2012 one that is expiring given what you said about the passport.

And yes if you have a new esta for her new passport you will be OK for two years.

Reminded me that mine needs redoing soon - but I'll have to pay this time - last time I managed to do it just before they started charging.

Funnily enough I was just looking for something this afternoon and came across my ESTA. Like Tonty's mine is due to expire in September as it was one of the last of the free ones. I too had an ESTA or two before then but conveniently "lost" it just before they started charging. These would have expired/been due to expire about now so they were obviously cancelled out but this one

You can always check the current status of any ESTA on their website -- so you can specifically check for the current passports. This should resolve any questions.

I did, indeed, check all my current passports.. and, just as a precaution, printed off the confirmations.

There'll be a few V-Flyers with ESTA expiration in September, I wonder how many of us got in before the fee charging started ;) .

Mine expires 12 Aug - just after I get back from LAS fortunately. Will delay getting a new one until I know I have firm plans to make the most of the 2 years covered by the fee.
