Just noticed in my Virgin flying club account 2000 extra flying club miles for "Silver Renewal Bonus". I can't recall virgin giving bonus miles for silver renewal before. Is this new?

Yup - I know a few who have got it.

So, golds get a similar bonus on their birthday but no specific renewal one (other than the unusable companion ticket). I wonder if they'll introduce it for gold renewal too...

Yep! I'm sure it wouldn't kill them to do it for Gold members over here. There's probably only a handful of us (and soon to be one less :# ) and we are in a Common Travel Area

I usuually get a birthday card (a real cardboard one posted to me) with a code in it that you have to enter here:
http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/fr ... daybonus10

I thought it was sent to all Au holders, but maybe different for those outside the UK.

My wife and I have both just renewed our Silver for the fourth consecutive year and neither of us has ever received a bonus.

Yeah, my wife and I both have the AG renewal bonus - a pleasant surprise!

First time this has happened, something new?

Also, AU birthday bonuses, perhaps your DOB has to be registered somewhere specific for the wonderful VS IT systems to flag it up?

You enter your DOB during the initial Flying Club sign-up process so it will always be recorded on your Flying Club account.
