About to leave today on VS LAX>LHR and had a couple questions:
1) On my last trip I was upgraded from Red to Silver after the first segment. Before that leg i had 13 points, full fare Premium gave me 4 points and so I was upgraded when 15 was hit...but I've seemingly "lost" those other 2 points as the balance on silver does not reflect them. Is this expected, or a mistake?
2) Does anyone have any exp with tier points on same-day first class upgrades on VX? I've only been getting credit for 1 instead of 2. I have tried requesting support with both VX and VS but am being told it's only good for 1 despite the site saying otherwise.
3) If I use miles to upgrade full fare Premium on VS to UC, do I still earn miles/tier points? I do fine enough on mileage that I'm fine if I lose it (or it's reduced), but I don't want to completely lose tier points.
