So the new VS93/94 LGW-CUN service commenced this week and have not even heard so much as a tweet from VS on this... Seems a bit odd compared to the fanfare that was made at the start of the YVR route recently.

Or perhaps there will be an official launch of this route at some other time?

Oh there will be, and you can expect a full report.

Hint, look at the little airplane icon to the right ;) .

I always find it a bit daft when companies do things like this. Surely the inaugural means the very first, not the 34th or whatever number it may be?!

Same goes for shops that have official openings about 5 months after they open their doors...

The YVR inaugral was all bells and whistles on its first flight.

The press trip for the new 3-class A330 wasn't for sometime after the actual first VS3/4 run using the A330.

Maybe it is down to availabilty of SRB etc?

It sure as heck is and I'll be on it. Can't give anything away but there's an amazing schedule of flights, parties, events, activities, wonderful resort and more. I know a LHR 747 will be rostered for it but that's all I can say for now.

When I've recovered (read arrive, party, wake up, party, go to bed, wake up, party, wake up, party, fly ;) ) I'll post a TR with as many photos as I can take. If there's a moment during the trip not covered by an event, I'll feed a TR story ... mind you, I may not be able to focus on my keyboard ii) .

I don't actually know if SRB will be there, but I am guessing yes.

Ah, what a shame, we are on the VS93 flight LGW-CUN on 14th July....that would have been a treat to be part of the celebrations.

Still, will definately look forward to the reports :-)
