Hi Guys,

I am looking to take a trip to america and am currently looking at fares. I am looking at flying to Los angeles on the 25th of august and returning from san francisco on the 8th of september. I have a fare of £981 for premium economy both ways with 7500 flying miles added.

Not sure if this is a great fare, or whether or not its worth waiting to see if any sales come up... thanks for any advice guys.

Ben :)

what is the 'normal' fare and how does it compare to the M+M fare you are quoting?

At times M+M are good value but at others they aren't.

You could wait for a sale but there is no guarentee that (a) there will be one soon or (b) it includes LAX and SFO for your dates.

ok just done a dummy booking and the normal fare is currently £1158 so the M+M is £177 cheaper.

Yea thats a pretty good saving i would have thought? I suppose what im getting at is if the fare in general is good. I havent been to the states since 2010 and then i paid £458 to LA return economy. All fares seem to have gone up quite a bit since then?

£981 for the west coast in PE is not a bad fare, the current sale fare in PE to LAS for example is £999.

Yes do look and see if M+M offers any saving, noting that you won't get any TPs or miles if you book a M+M fare.

Really, if you are comfortable with the cost, then that is reason enough to consider it a good fare.
