Which aircraft VS043/VS044 LGW-LAS

Hi

I am trying to find out which aircraft will be operating on the outbound and return flights to Las Vegas from Gatwick. We are travelling out on 9th August and returning on 26th August and I need to know which seating plan I should be looking at.

I am hoping to book extra legroom seats and am unsure where in the plane they will be located.

Unfortunately for security reasons VS never release details in advance of which individual aircraft will operate a particular flight.

And even if they did there's a good chance it would change on the day for operational reasons.

If knowing where you'll be is important, consider buying an exit row seat as they're in the same place on all LGW 747s.

The difficulty in answering this is the LGW fleet has two different configurations in their 747s - and three, if you count G-VROM. The differences are not great but enough to make a difference when it comes to things like which IFE system and the slight differences in the layout of the economy and PE cabins on the lower deck.

We can answer the question about the type of aircraft if the difference is between a 747 and a 346 on the LHR routes as some flights operate both types of aircraft but we will not know which aircraft will operate the LGW route. However if you wish to buy extra legroom seats you will not be able to choose which ones. They are allocated at the airport.
