Evening all

I am still getting to grips with all the new info I am learning from this site. I have had a read of the fare info in the toolbox but I don't know how to identify which fare I am on. Do I need to wait for a physical ticket to arrive? (will a physical ticket arrive?) or can I tell from looking at my invoice?

Sorry for asking a rookie question.....

Hang on, want to use a smilie :)

Thanks!

R.

R

no problem we all have to start somewhere :D :D

If you have booked direct with Virgin, if you go into "Manage My Booking" for each of your sectors you will see the fare code under "Class"

Hope this helps

yes welcome

in these new fangled tecno days you won't get a paper ticket (the days of a multi-part carbon paper ticket are long gone) but you will get an email with your booking reference.

..and in that email there will be a box with your flight details and fare codes which includes a "class" box something like this..

Actually you don't have to have booked direct - as long as you have the 6 character reference, you can look up the same information on flights booked via travel agents etc...

Hi,

I've just read this post and was interested to find the fare code for my next flight. I've just logged in and found out that the outbound leg of my trip has the class of 'E' which appears to be 'staff' (which I'm not). Does this mean something might go wrong? The return flight is 'O'.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Cheers,

Ed

Virgin recently changed some of their fare codes, and E is now a normal economy fare. We haven't got all the info to update the fare codes section fully yet, so a couple are slightly incorrect.
