Good Morning,

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the V Lounge is like in Gatwick? I’ve done a search online and it seems to be quite vague as to what it offers and what you get.

What kind of food can you get for breakfast? Is it continental or can you get a full fry up? Is it just help yourself?

Is the lounge usually jam packed? Or do they only sell a certain amount of tickets for any given day?

Can you wander in and out as you please?

Any info would be appreciated :)

Cheers

I used the lounge on 4th June. There is a fairly decent hot breakfast, good selection of cereals, danishes, juices, teas/coffees etc. Pretty much everything you could want and plenty to load up on before you get onboard

It isn't a full fry up - sausage and bacon rolls IIRC.

You can wander in and out.

Do you mean the V-Room, as this is only available to Virgin Holiday customers, you can't just pay to go in not like some of the other lounges.

If you are you can book direct with VH don't know what the charges are now somewhere between £20-£25 each. You can get unlimited soft drinks tea and coffee, anything alcoholic has to be paid for and so does the water if you get it at the alcohol bar.

Breakfast rolls unlimited and cereal, yoghurt and fruit, get there early as it tends to build up as the day goes on, plenty of tv and internet and staff. Enjoy. Linda

Yeah you have to pay for it but we got it free as part of our holiday package. I know this might sound like a really silly question but what do the vouchers for the lounge and fast track through secuirty look like?

I've been checking my tickets that I received the other day and apart from a print out saying we can go in the V Room I don't seem to have anything else. Do they give you fast track tickets when you drop your bags off? Do I just have to show the print out?

Cheers

We didn't get any fast track tickets you just go through the fast track channel, and then show your paperwork at the front desk at the V-Room entrance they should have your name on a list.I like the day you joined V-Flyer was my birthday (mind you trying to forget them now) L.xx :D

Thanks Mallin :)

You’re trying to forget your birthday?

So does the fast track take you straight to the V Lounge? How do you use the fast track without any tickets? Do you just show your paperwork to security? Sorry it’s been a long time since I flew out of Gatwick.

IIRC, fast track takes you straight to a fabulous duty free shopping opportunity :w from where you have to navigate to the V-Room.

Its been 9 months since used the V-room and I think because you have access to the V-Room it automatically entitles you to go throught the fast track mind you the normal security can sometimes be quicker.

The signs to the V-Room are near the duty free area you can't miss it take the lift up to lounge. Don't worry you will find it.Are you doing twilight check in?

When you get past a certain age, you do. Do everything you can while you are fit and able to. y)

Previously when I have flown to St Lucia or Antigua the Airport has been so quiet due the the early check in that the Fast track lanes have been closed.

How early is early though? Well I'll be going through secuirty at 7 in the morning so I guess there is a good chance the fast track lane will be closed unless its busy. I fly out on a Saturday so I'm not sure if that makes a difference?

I'm not mega fussed about about it. It would just be nice to use if it was really busy so there is no hassle or waiting around.
