Park Inn, Heathrow

Morning all.

Just wanted to know has anyone stayed at the Park Inn at Heathrow, just booked this through Holiday Extras as an undercover 4 star hotel.

Actually rang direct and got it way cheaper than the prices on their website (Don't know why).
17 nights parking,3 course evening meal plus requested king bed which the operator said should be fine. for £161 which included cancellation cover.Sorted.

We have stayed there before, nice hotel and close to the airport so not much more you could want really.

We have used it a couple of times, the last time being Sept 2011.
Like you, we booked it as the Holiday Extras mystery hotel - which isn't much of a mystery, as it is easy to work out in advance

Parking was fairly difficult - the car park is huge, but cars are crammed into every available space on pavements and verges etc.

There were three adults in our party and we had booked a triple room. When they saw that our son is 6' 5", they gave us a great comp upgrade to a two bedroom suite, which was a nice touch given the bargain rate we had booked.

The evening meal was a carvery buffet and was okay.

Don't forget you can avoid paying the extortionate Hotel Hoppa fee by catching any of the service buses to the airport that run along the Bath Road across from the hotel,

Where do I find out about the service transport, we were going to get a taxi or the Hoppa.

All the service buses within a certain area around LHR are free - this includes all of the services that go along the Bath Road.

If you have a lot of luggage, check with the concierge desk to see what private hire deals they have. They'll drop you right by the terminal and can be easier than a bus.

Think we will probably go for a taxi as we will have a few bag and hand luggage.As hubby has a bad spine problem think that will be easier. Linda
