Airbus to open US Plant for the A320

A good chance VX will get the first 'made in the USA' airbus, it's either them or AA apparently.

Yes been announced for a quite a while although now officially hit the wires. Favourable labour law in Alabama one of the main reasons for the plant. Unlike the plant out in China I doubt we will see a flood of orders from US airlines (although only AA out of the majors don't operate Airbus at the moment)

But didn't AA place a mega order with Airbus fairly recently?
