I'm hoping someone here can give me a quick answer to save me a 40 minute wait on hold with Virgin Atlantic.

I'm trying to figure out how to receive emails from Virgin so I can get the latest info on deals, etc. Virgin has my email address, it's set as my preferred method of correspondence, and I've not opted out of receiving emails, yet I've never received a single email from them. I found out about great deals to the UK last Christmas from a BA email, and then checking to see if Virgin matched the prices, which they did. But there has to be a simpler way.

I'd double check your preferences in your FC account and ensure they are as you want them and that you have saved them too.

Depending on who your email provider is they may be filtering them out as spam and either sending them to your spam folder or blocking them entirely. So check your preferences in your email account too.

I have the same issue. Email all correct, communications preferences are all fine, spam service (my own server) not blocking anything...

...and yet still they don't arrive. I've asked VS as well, and it's very much a "computer says noooooo" scenario as from what they can see at their end everything should be fine.

Annoying.

It's not a spam issue - I check my spam folder regularly and I've even switched email addresses to a different carrier. Still nothing. Only the booking confirmation emails that others here have mentioned.

I wonder if they're just blocking people on here...?

Ironically, they would work for me too - but I only found out about the last VS sale because (as others have mentioned) of a BA email...!

I do receive emails from VS (both the monthly Flying Club 'Well Red' newsletter plus seperate sale emails).

There's at least 3 emails from VS in my inbox sent in June :)

Just got off the phone with a very nice VS Flying Club rep who didn't have a satisfactory answer, though she did say she would try resetting my email preferences. She mentioned that she never received VS emails either! And that Virgin always tries to match a BA sale, so I can still rely on getting news of Virgin deals when a BA email blast advertising sales lands in my inbox! Oh well.

Success! Whatever the Flying Club rep did when I called has fixed the problem. I now receive regular emails from Flying Club: one today about a reward seat sale, one last Friday about airline partners. So I suggest calling to have your preferences reset.

Well, well done you. I did that in the past to no avail! v(

It seems that every other website that I link to or have to register to enter sends me copious unwanted emails until I unsubscribe but not VS v(

I too have not received newsletters from Virgin since the end of January. After waiting over a month for a reply to my two emails, I decided to contact Flying Club direct. I was told by a very nice chap that as I do not use my email account (I use it regularly on a daily basis), this could be one of the reasons the newsletters have stopped ...another reason was because I did not email Virgin from my email account...seems rather odd when I told him I had received acknowledgement from Virgin to my email account apologising for the delay in replying and that they would look into it. He then went on to say it would be sensible for me to wait another week ...if still heard nothing...to email Virgin again...

Not a happy bunny :-(
