my daughter has just left us after a 10 day visit and flew on US Air via CLT into RSW.
checking in last night the offer of an upgrade to envoy was $700. she then dropped in that on the flight over it was only $200 !!!!

her ticket cost $900 so she could have had a return in business for $1800, thats flat bed in a 330...so compared to VS a bit of a bargain.....very tempting for my next trip BUT the upgrade isnt available until OLCI so its a bit of a gamble. she was very complimetary about them saying the EC was nearly (but not quite) as her last trip which was in PE with VS on a 747

Flown envoy class twice from man- phl very reasonable and I was lucky an had the front row of the 330 there old first class which were fantastic having said that the new envoy class is essentially reverse herringbone Facing the window!! Thumbs up! Not been on it but in my experience very pleasant flights

That's good to hear we flew with US airways LGW into RSW back in 2003 . Horrible delay at Charlotte on the way out due to them cancelling a flight. However we also thought economy seats perfectly ok, plenty of leg room and really good service on all the flights.

On other forums USAir don't get good reviews but we are thinking of giving them a try next Easter 2013 as they are the only ones at present offering a reasonable fare. Another advantage is you can see seat availability in advance and also can pay a little bit more to get a choice seat. I'm keeping a close watch for flights into TPA and out of RSW ii) and its good to read that positive feedback.

Hev, I couldnt see what advantage the 'choice' seats had except for being a bit nearer the front.....

That's exactly what the choice seats are. Nearer the front, no more legroom, nothing, just closer to the door.
