Yes I do it all the time. I fly in the front and whilst husband loves the lounge he prefers sitting further back (I kid you not! :0 . Check in always makes sure his luggage is tagged with mine so they come off together.
A purple boarding card, pre-booked cowshed treatment, glass of T10 with lime, a proper amenity kit, packet of polos and a Freedom Menu please!

As stated above, it is fine for somebody not travelling in UC to use the security channel with you.
As long as the ratio of UC pax to non UC pax is as close to 1:1 then you won't have any issue, many of us on here have used the facility like this.
They have no problems with this at all.
