For the best time and fare, take a look at the fare watch on the homepage of this very site, as for which flight for a refurbed plane it's just pot luck, I personally think 015 or 027 makes no difference

It is a very difficult question you have asked.

When do you want to go? The quietest time will probably be mid Jan until mid February, but it is the cheapest for a reason and the weather really can be very changeable and not very warm. But then there are sales which can mean that even some of the busier times are cheaper - there really isn't a definitive answer to that question.

Best a/c in terms of what? All the Virgin fleet by the end of the year will offer the same hard core product (seat/IFE etc).

Again with which flight is better, there really isn't a right or wrong answer. Some people prefer the earlier flight with an earlier arrival, other prefer an afternoon flight with a late afternoon arrival, what suits you best? Also, if one flight is busier then it might affect the prices, so that could be a factor also.

Do bear in mind that with regards to flights/aircraft they can and do change quite frequently, including which a/c is operating a set flight and also the flight times, so what you are seeing now could well change.

Temps early/mid 20Cs. Dry.

Not too busy esp. after Thanksgiving weekend is finished. And in March before Easter.

Flights for approx £799 in PE.

I prefer the VS027 flight as it gets in before sundown in Nov, nice to drive in the daylight to get to your accommodation on your first night.

The OP is 12 so can rule out driving himself to accommodation and also can rule out travelling out of school hol times.

Personally prefer the earlier flights to get into holiday mode sooner and start enjoying myself.. I find that i usually do nothing having the day to hang around at home before flying off, except of course to paranoidly pack and repack convinced I have forgotten something :-/

I always go for the earlier flight where possible as I have found in the past on VS15 (the 73 from MAN even more so) that when the flight arrives the immigration hall is full so they hold you on the plane for 45min then you have to wait in a big queue once you get off, so although the flight only arrives an hour and a half later it ends up taking until 7 easily to get through to the rental car area whereas if you take the earlier flight you can be at the villa by just after 5 - much better after a long day in the air!
