Has anyone travelled throught Las Vegas Terminal 3 yet - how does it compare to Terminal 2 in terms of immigration, luggage collection and Customs?

I was in Vegas a few months back and it took forever to get through Customs at Terminal 2 (it was always easy in the past so maybe I caught them on a bad day?).

I'm going to Vegas for the first Time on 2nd September which is a Sunday, is this a busy day? Hopefully I don't have to wait too long to enjoy my holiday! Grab the car and off to the hotel!

Have you looked at any trip reports for Las Vegas in the Trip Report Index at the top of the page? They may give some indication

Hi Fordie
Arriving on Sunday should be slow, it's usually the departure day for most travelers.

Have a great time both of you! Go see the show Love if you can.

Came into the new terminal on 25 July and out of it on 1 Aug. Plenty of immigration desks open at 7 p.m., although I was glad I was in Business so was off pretty quick. Bags were in the first 10 or so off too, so was in a taxi about 15 mins after connecting to the airbridge.

New terminal is so much better than the old one although 1) not at capacity yet and 2) doesn't have much variety by the departure gates, and the premium lounge used by BA and VS (The Club) is also a Priority Pass lounge so I'm guessing it will get busier and busier over the next few months. It has no external windows which is a shame.

Check in was extremely easy and so was security, although I was irradiated again

Many thanks to all for the feedback.

Fordie: Arriving on a Sunday is good - usually quieter at the Rental Centre and you should be sipping a cocktail by the pool at 4pm!

Sandi: Yes, I saw Love earlier in the year (very good) - have you seen Jersey Boys (another good one)?

RedVee: Shame about the lack of windows in the lounge - but I guess it's bigger and plusher than the old T2 lounge?

It may be quite busy, that weekend is a USA public holiday weekend.
Labor Day is Monday 3rd September

Arrived on a Thursday on the MAN flight. In after the LGW flight and some others. Took ages to get through immigration despite being in UC. Even if you did get straight through it's far bigger than T2 so loads more walking/distance to travel. Walking doesn't really bother me, I just noticed it as I was comparing terminals.

On the return I didn't like the fact they had done away with the priority line for business/first class passengers at security.
They really could have done a much better job on the lounge.
Overall it is a nicer place to wait with the crowds compared to T2 from what I saw.

I was there a couple of weeks back - it also took me an age to get through immigration on arrival, even though there was only about 20 people ahead of me (because I was in UC, so nearly first to arrive from the VS flight). When I arrived at the queue I thought "great, I'll be through in 5 minutes", but it took 45 minutes to get through! Couldn't believe how slow they were processing people. Didn't seem like progress to me.

As far as the return leg visit to T3 is concerned, I did notice a "First Class" queue at security and so went through nice and fast. Maybe it was closed when you were there? Thought the T3 departure area was a bit dull really.

Good news that the priority security was in place for you and hopefully it's back for good. I was there leaving from T3 about 9/10 days after it opened. It definitely wasn't in place, I asked :)

As for immigration I had exactly the same issue, I was the first one there from out flight (UC and I walk fast :D ). The reason it took so long was because they wanted to totally clear the flight in front of us before letting 'MAN' through. It ended up that just one immigration desk held us all up, it was ridiculous.
